The Return series are ongoing works that include Partition and Rack. These works are representations of abstracted ideas and structures that pertain to confinement, consumerism, and manufacturing in the built world and the market forces that control them. Joined Return is comprised of two conjoined shopping cart return structures, facing opposite directions. This doubling suggests the looping effect of the cart, that is taken out at the beginning of a shopping activity, and then returned at the end. Both times the cart is taken and returned, it is empty, but while it is away and in use, it is filled with commodities and supplies.
